Former Departamento ng Filipino chairperson Prof. Roberto D. Ampil, Ph.D., was named the Philippines’ Exceptional Professor and Most Outstanding Researcher & Humanitarian Advocate of the Year by the 5th Dangal ng Lahi Awards 2023 on April 27. This year’s ceremony was held in Baguio Country Club, Baguio City, Benguet.
The annual prize, which recognizes exemplary individuals in the country, is organized by Asia Pacific Luminare Awards, Tulong para sa Maharlikang Pilipino, Inc., and Kiwanis International.
Ampil expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, teachers, students, and the leadership of UST.
“Recognition is not just receiving a trophy, plaque, and certificate. It serves as an inspiration to further improve my work,” he said.
