The University rose to the #2 rank among Philippine universities ranked by Times Higher Education for its Asia rankings, released on April 24, 2025 (Manila time).
UST showed improvements in Research Quality, Research Environment, and Teaching, which saw increases in ratings compared to the 2024 ratings. UST landed in the 601+ bracket, tying with De La Salle University, Mapua University, and Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology. International outlook remains UST’s strongest suit, and UST remains the country’s top-rated university in this regard.
