CCCPET conducts cultural heritage mapping project of Polillio Island, Quezon

The Cultural Mapping Project of Pollilio was initiated by Mr. Antonio Salumbides, UST Graduate School PHD candidate in History, Local Government of Polillio and University of Santo Tomas Graduate School – Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics to document the island’s built, natural, movable and intangible heritage.

The cultural mapping activity gave direction to the town’s cultural and tourism planning and development.

A proposed local museum project for the town was also developed after the cultural mapping as another outreach activity of the Center and UST Graduate School Cultural Heritage Studies Program.
