Tiger TV

UST Tiger TV, a branch of Tiger Media Network, the official broadcasting arm of the University of Santo Tomas under the UST Communications Bureau, serves as the university’s digital television platform. It is run by Thomasian student-volunteers who produce content that informs, entertains, and connects the Thomasian community.

With a strong presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, UST Tiger TV continues to grow, delivering news, culture, sports, and lifestyle programs that highlight student life at UST. Over the years, it has gained recognition in student broadcasting, earning multiple local and international awards for its excellence in media production.

Through a variety of shows, UST Tiger TV features informative discussions, sports coverage, lifestyle segments, and student-centered content, reflecting the Thomasian experience. With its dedication to quality storytelling and student-driven media, UST Tiger TV remains the go-to platform for Thomasian voices and stories.

Tiger TV is a branch of Tiger Media Network, the official broadcasting arm of UST. Tiger TV is in charge of the television programs of TMN, which range from news, entertainment, religious, and sports shows, as well as handling the airing of special projects. These shows are produced by Thomasian students for Thomasian students, and always aim to bring the most relevant and entertaining content to their audience. 

Tiger TV is also a multi-award-winning broadcast station, winning several Quill awards, with the most recent ones being for Tiger TV’s health show “Lifeline” and for “Para kanino ka naglalaro”, the 2018 UAAP video series. We’ve also been recognized internationally, winning 3 awards from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Student Awards in New York. As of February 2021, Tiger TV’s online presence is strong and constantly growing, with almost 35k followers on its Facebook page, and a steady increase of followers on its Twitter and Instagram pages. Tiger TV is also the go-to platform for Thomasians to view special events, with streams amassing 28k views and over 50k interactions.

Culture Shock

A talkshow that features Thomasians who experienced culture shock; may it be moving from one place to another or immersing themselves with new people.

Lifeline

A health news program that aims to address current health risks and trends which are relevant to the Thomasian community.

Saan Tayo Kakain?

A food series recommending various food spots around the university that Thomasians can try and experience.

Streak

A live game show where the Thomasian community can participate live through Kahoot on their devices. The show tests your knowledge with questions about various facts regarding the university. Additionally, there is also an online short-form version where contestants must answer a streak of 5 questions correctly to win exciting prizes.

Tatak Tomasino

A show that highlights Thomasian experiences and stories. It explores diverse facets of the University, delving into specific historical events, trivias, culture, elements, and traditions unique to the University.

The Assignment

A series that follows the student life of different programs as they accomplish major projects in their respective courses.

The Conscious Mind

The show focuses on coping strategies that help many Filipinos in this time of crisis. Mental health professionals are invited to give insights about the phenomenon or emotions that Filipinos experience today and its effects.

The Frontrunners

The premiere sports show that tackles must-know about Thomasian sports team.

Tiger Rush is a teleradyo show by UST Tiger TV and UST Tiger Radio aired online and on the television sets at the lobbies around the campus. It has array of segments ranging from news, featured organizations, finance, travel, mental health, nutrition, and recognized students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and alumni.

Hekasi Naman!

An easy-to-follow cooking series featuring simple recipes perfect for dorm living, showing step-by-step how to prepare delicious and budget-friendly meals.

Tiger News Updates

An entertainment show in the form of a singing competition. This show aims to capture the attention of Thomasian students, encouraging them to participate and showcase their vocal talents.

This show was produced by Prime One Productions for CommTV 2024, and was adapted by UST TigerTV.

The Encounter

A show that offers Thomasians a unique opportunity to
encounter individuals they do not typically connect with. The show aims to create a platform for authentic interaction and broaden guests’ perspective. 

Tiger Decodes

Beyond The Arch

An interview series that highlights Thomasian alumni's experiences during their college years and explores significant locations on campus that have evolved or disappeared.
