It is with great excitement and pleasure that I welcome all of you once again to this second International Congress on Collaborative Education and Research in Health Care (ICCERHC) with this year’s theme “Strategic Interventions & Specialized Priorities Amidst a Global Pandemic in Health and Education”.

The pandemic years have become pivotal moments for both academic and health institutions in the country and the world. For the academic community, it led us to two paths, the path of realization and the path to move forward. We realize that regardless of the pandemic, the academic institutions stood firm, and answered the challenges that have laid before us. We continued to deliver and maintain the same quality of learning for students amidst circumstances. Moving forward, the pandemic has provided us opportunities to set protocols and be prepared in the coming years, so we can continue our journey to continue delivering quality services to students and industry partners alike.

This year’s congress aims to share those journeys and successes we have undertaken. To showcase best practices and interventions during the pandemic years in different academic programs under the Faculty of Pharmacy, namely: Pharmacy, Medical Technology, and Biochemistry, to the University’s education, research, and international initiatives in response to the national call for growth in the areas of health education and research.

This year’s congress is a 3-day event designed and delivered in both virtual and onsite settings. We have invited distinguished speakers, both local and international, to share timely topics concerning pedagogy and research opportunities. 

As we all begin to journey in this post-pandemic era, I would like to thank you for joining us in the 2^nd year of ICCERHC, and I hope to see you in our future endeavors.
