Photography Competition

  1. This photo contest is open to all students (SHS to post-graduate) and employees (staff and faculty) of MMHRDC member-institutions. Thus, the contest will carry two categories: students and employees.
  2. Plagiarism is grounds for automatic disqualification.
  3. All shortlisted photographs shall become the property of the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium.
  4. The royalty of the photographer/ hobbyists shall not apply every time Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium uses the photographs for promotion or management of the Consortium.
  5. Photographers / Hobbyists shall always be given proper credits / acknowledgment when their photos are to be used in Consortium paraphernalia and events.
  6. A maximum of two (2) entries per Photographer/ Hobbyists will be accepted.

Resolution requirements for online submission :

5 megapixels; 300 dpi (low resolution copy for digital viewing)

Print resolution requirements:     

8 megapixels; 300 dpi; size 16’ X 20’ (high resolution copy for printing)

  1. Official submissions grant MMHRDC the right to publish and distribute these photographs. Photographers/ Hobbyists will be asked to sign a Certificate of Originality and Consent to Publish and distribute these photographs without royalty fees.
  2. Deadline of submission is on October 12, 2022.
  3. Shortlisted entries will be notified via email by October 22, 2022.

Shortlisted entries must submit 14×20 inches photoprint for judging on or before Oct. 30, 2022 to the office of the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education (RCSSED), University of Santo Tomas [Room 211, Thomas Aquinas Research Center, UST Campus]

  1. The registration fee will be waived for the photographer if they are joining the conference. Travel and per diem expenses as well as accommodation shall be charged to sending institutions or the author.

  • Style / Technique that is relevant to Symposium and Conference theme 25%
  • Originality of the photograph 20%
  • Creativity (to include composition) 25%
