Santo Tomas Scholarship Program

(For Faculty of Medicine and Surgery)

The Santo Tomas Scholarship is named after the Patron Saint of the University, and is given to students with excellent academic performance. 

The application requirements and procedure are intended for incoming Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Freshmen applicants who are Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude graduates of UST who wish to apply for the Santo Tomas Scholarship. The scholarship is renewable every term of the academic year.

General Qualifications:

  • Must be a Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude graduate of UST;
  • Must be a confirmed enrollee of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

For the Processing of the Scholarship Application

All Qualified Applicants must submit the following documents to the Office for Student Affairs:

  • Santo Tomas Scholarship Application Form;
  • 1 copy of 2”x2” colored ID Picture;
  • UST Registration Form (if already enrolled);
  • Official Transcript of Records;
  • Original Certification issued by the school that the student graduated in UST as Magna Cum Laude or Summa Cum Laude (The school’s dry seal should be affixed to the document); and 
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character (Issued by the Office of the Dean / Office for Student Affairs).

The applicant should submit the accomplished and signed application form together with the complete requirements to the Office for Student Affairs through the Scholarship Application Link.

NOTE: P.E. Uniform, Retreat, Review, Alumni, Graduation, and Out-of-State Fees are not included in the computation for scholarship discount

For the renewal of the scholarship, the scholar must maintain an average grade of at least 88.50% with no failing grades in both academic and non-academic courses.
