ROSALES, Raymond L.

  • A Thomasian from Bachelors to Medical Degrees, then Residency in Neurology and Psychiatry. He is currently a full-time Professor in the Medical Faculty and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medicine; formerly the Department Chair of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Head of the Neuroscience Institute that he established in the same University Hospital. 
  • PhD in Neurosciences obtained from the Kagoshima University Graduate School of Medicine (Dissertation: Experimental BoNT effects in extrafusal and intrafusal muscles).
  • Subspecialty stints in Neuromuscular and Movement Disorders from the Department of Neurology and Geriatrics of Kagoshima University Hospital, the Neuromuscular Institute of the Japan National Center for Neurology and Psychiatry (Tokyo), the Mayo Clinical Electrophysiology Lab (Rochester), and the Dystonia Clinic of Columbia University (NY). 
  • Former President of the PNA, MDSP, and PSNR (founding President)
  • Presently President of the Asian and Oceanian Myology Center; and the Chair-Elect for AOS, International Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Society
