Dr. Robert G. de Luna earned his bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering at Polytechnic University of the Philippines last 2002 under a scholarship from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). He took and passed the ECE Licensure Examination in November 2002. In January of 2012, Dr. de Luna successfully passed the technical evaluation of the Board of Electronics Engineering for the upgrade of his license as a Professional Electronics Engineer. With his desire to acquire further knowledge in the Electronics Engineering field, he entered De La Salle University, Manila last 2010 where earned a degree in Master of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering Major in Microelectronics last June of 2016 with a scholarship grant from the Philippine Council of Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technologies Research and Development (PCIEERD) under the Department of Science and Technology. He finished his degree in Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics and Communications Engineering at De La Salle University, Manila with a scholarship from Engineering Research Development and Technology (ERDT) also under the Department of Science and Technology. His research interest is focusing mainly on integrated circuits design, control systems, embedded systems, signal processing, data science, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and intelligent systems design.
Dr. de Luna is an active member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines. He became the Regional Director of the IECEP CALABARZON from 2011 to 2014 and is currently the Vice-Governor External of IECEP Batangas. Sharing his knowledge and expertise in the field of Electronics Engineering, he is conducting seminars, training, and workshops at different universities and colleges for students and professionals. As a practicing Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE), he provides consulting services to different companies doing fire alarm and detection systems, structured cabling, PABX telephone system, CCTV, security system installation, and other electronics and communications engineering related works. He also signs and seals electronics plans, drawings, permit applications, specifications, reports, and other technical documents.
