Assistant Professor Ma. Arlene Lee-Ledesma, MD, FPARM, MMed, holds the position of Assistant Professor 2 at the Department of Medicine, UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery and College of Rehabilitation Sciences. Dr. Ledesma is a distinguished Board Examiner for the Philippine Board of Rehabilitation Medicine and actively contributes in the medical field as the Section Head of Electrodiagnostic Studies and Vice-Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center. She is the immediate past Residency Training Officer of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of UST Hospital. She herself placed Top 1 on her Oral Board Examination for the Rehabilitation Medicine specialty. Her research interests span Electrodiagnosis, Robotics in Stroke, and Osteoarthritis. Dr. Ledesma’s educational journey includes a Masters Degree in Pain Management from UST FMS, Electromyography Certification from the Philippine Board of Rehabilitation Medicine, and a certification program on Media and Medicine, a new course under Harvard Medical School from Feb to June 2023. Recognized for her contributions, Dr.Ledesma has earned awards and commendations, including the publication of her work in the book “Storm Brain” in London, UK. She is an active medical staff in UST Hospital, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, and Chinese General Hospital, showcasing her commitment to excellence in patient care and education.
