DELA CRUZ, Angelo R.

Prof. Angelo R. dela Cruz received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electronics and Communications Engineering degrees from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila in 2000, and from De La Salle University, Manila in 2007 respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of the Philippines, Diliman in 2014. He is a Professional licensed Electronics Engineer (PECE) and an active member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (IEEE-SPS), Education Society (IEEE-EdSoc), and the Institute of Electronics Engineers in the Philippines (IECEP). His primary research interests are image and video coding and compression, cross-layer error-control optimization, biosignal processing, and adaptive signal processing for digital communication system design and digital health. He has presented at various international conferences on Signal Processing and published notable research papers in high-impact ISI/SCOPUS-indexed journals in the area of multimedia signal processing and communications.
