On March 18, 2019, Most Rev. Fr. Roberto C. Mallari, DD, Chairman of Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on Catechism and Catholic Education (CBCP-ECCE), led the Eucharistic Celebration at St. Dominic de Guzman Chapel, 3/F Tan Yan Kee Student Center.

In his homily, Mallari said the researchers must “soar high” and explore the possibilities of pursuing the truth, whether the outcomes would give negative or positive results.

“We seek light and we would still have solution to problems,” Mallari said. “As much as possible, we let the Holy Spirit guide us,” he continued.

This event was in junction with the launch the National Catechetical Study 2021: Pastoral Action Research and Intervention Project (NCS 2021: PARI Project) led by the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education’s Prof. Clarence M. Batan, PhD.

The researchers were commissioned during the Mass and were given pins to symbolize their contribution to the Catechetical ministry in the Philippines.
