UST toppled the Adamson Lady Falcons by winning the second conference Shakey’s V-League giving UST a record 5 V-league titles. The game had its suspenseful moments as UST dropped the opening set, encountered a tough third set, and was down on the fourth. In the end, determination and pride provided the rallying point for UST to win, 23-25, 25-12, 27-25, and 25-19.

The victory was made more memorable with UST team captain Aiza Maizo winning the MVP title both in the conference and in finals. Coach Cesael Delos Santos dedicated the win to former coach August Sta. Maria, who suffered a stroke two years ago.
