Biographical Details

Born 1981; appointed Assistant Professor 2 in 2008; handles courses in Invertebrate Zoology, Vertebrate Embryology, Comparative Anatomy, Animal Physiology and Ecology; won “Best Workshop” (with Asst. Prof. JR Castillo) during the National BIOTA Convention 2004; currently on study leave to finish his dissertation entitled “Zooplankton Community Dynamics in the Open Water and Fish Cage Areas of Taal Lake – a Caldera Lake in Luzon Is., Philippines” with funding support from the Tonolli Fund Postgraduate Fellowship of the International Society of Limnology, Research Center for the Natural Sciences, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Sandwich Program.

Research Interests

Freshwater zooplankton ecology and systematics; feeding ecology of zooplanktivorous fishes; hydroacoustics; most researches have been conducted in Taal Lake in Batangas Province, Southern Luzon as well as other lakes and rivers in the country.
