The Research Cluster for the Natural and Applied Sciences extends the scope of the Research Center for the Natural Sciences, which has focused not only on basic, but also on, applied research. It brings together researchers from the various fields of science, including the biological sciences, chemistry, physics, engineering, pharmacy, and food technology—all working towards the objective of contributing to an improved quality of life and the sustained viability of the environment.
