Research Cluster for Culture, Education, and Social Sciences

THE RESEARCH CLUSTER FOR CULTURE, EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SCIENCES is a merging of the former Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD), the Social Research Center (SRC), and the Center for Intercultural Studies (CIS). The fusion of these research centers manifests the promotion of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to research problems involving issues confronting man and his society.

The cluster focuses on four major programs on emerging developments in Philippine society: Migration and development; youth and older persons; leadership studies in education; and development of local culture and arts. The research projects investigate local societal issues with a global orientation and a cultural application. The studies aim to provide data and information that can be employed in decision-making by policy makers.
