TeatroTomasino, the university-wide theater guild of the University of Santo Thomas, will present its first minor production on July 11 and 12, 2011, 1:00pm and 4:00pm at the Tan Yan Kee Student Center Auditorium. For its 33rd theater season, TeatroTomasino will stage a straight play production entitled "Kimberly and Johnson" directed by Jessika Torres, current Artistic Director.
"Kimberly and Johnson" is written by Michael Angelo Castro. It is a story about relationships. The relationship of two completely opposite characters that started out as friends and ended up getting married. The story started where it is most unlikely to begin with- it begins with the end. It as well showcase the effects of being in a broken family and how it affects the choice of life we would want to give our children.
We follow the growth of their relationship in 3 non-linear acts where we witness the growth of both characters as individuals and as a couple. As we follow their story we explore marriage in different phases, the ups and downs of love and the reason why we keep searching for it.
