UST Varsitarian to hold country’s longest-running quiz contest on Feb. 28, 2011

The Varsitarian, the 83-year-old official student publication of the University of Santo Tomas is holding Pautakan 2011: the 34th Annual Intercollegiate Quiz Contest, on February 28, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Medicine Auditorium of the St. Martin de Porres building in UST campus.

Pautakan is the Philippines’ longest-running campus-based quiz contest. Nearly all of UST’s 19 faculties and colleges will take part in this year’s Pautakan, billed as the Quadricentennial edition, in connection with UST’s 400th anniversary as Asia’s oldest University

This year’s quiz masters are former UAAP courtside reporter Claude Despabiladeras, ‘Imortal’ actor and TV personality Dino Imperial and the music disc jockey Andi Manzano.

Thomasians are invited to witness this event. There will be audience prizes.
