Academic Standard

 
All Students are required to maintain a high academic standing. The following regulations shall apply:
For every semester, the required quotient point Index (QPI) for students in their first year of residency is 78%, while in their succeeding years of residency it is 79%, regardless of the subjects enrolled.
Any students who fail to meet the QPI for any particular semester shall be admitted on probation for the following semester of enrollment, and if fails to obtain the QPI during his probationary period, he shall be debarred forthwith from the Faculty of Civil Law.
A student who gets failing grades corresponding to nine (9) units or more shall be debarred; the same rule shall apply to a student who incurs failures equivalent to one-half (1/2) of the load carried in any semester. All failures incurred by a student during the entire course not passed will be taken into account in the application of the nine unit-rule.
The above rules, however, shall not apply to a student enjoying senior status. A student acquires senior status if he has passed at least 110 units of the regular subjects from first year to third year, and earns the requires QPI during the semester he completes the same.
A student who enrolls in any way review subject without passing the said 110 units from first year to third year shall still be subject to the rules of debarment.
The nine-unit rule and the fifty-percent rule shall not apply to the first year students during their first semester of residency.
