In commemoration of the persecuted Christians worldwide, the University of Santo Tomas will support the Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) and will hold the Red Wednesday Campaign: #WeRemember on November 27, 2019.

The Thomasian community is invited to the opening ceremonies of the Red Wednesday exhibit, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., at Tan Yan Kee Student Center Lobby.

Moreover, the Red Wednesday Forum will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and also from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the AMV Multi-purpose Hall.

Lastly, the Red Wednesday mass will be celebrated at 5:15 p.m. at the Santisimo Rosario Parish, which will be followed by Ecumenical Prayer and Candle Lighting Ceremony at 6:15 p.m. at the UST Carillon.

According to ACN Philippines, a huge number of Christians worldwide are suffering discrimination and persecution in silence. We urge the Thomasian commnity to stand and to show our solidarity with Christians and other faith minorities who are persecuted because of their love for God.

This year’s Red Wednesday campaign is through the initiative of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Religious Affairs (OVRRA), Simbahayan Community Development Office (SCDO), and Center for Campus Ministry (CCM).
