The Institute of Certified Management Accountant (ICMA) recently announced the top performers of its most recent Certified Management Accountant examination. Mr. Marc Angelo S. Sanchez, alumnus of the UST-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy, led the student category and earned the Priscilla S. Payne Outstanding Student Performance Award for obtaining the highest score among student-examinees across the globe. Sanchez was also hailed as the Top 4 of October 2018 Philippine CPA Licensure Examination.

Joining Sanchez in the ranks are Ms. Francyne Jean M. Corpuz (BSA 2018, cum laude), Charissa Mae S. Espinola (BSA 2018, magna cum laude), Ma. Louella R. Reyes and Espinola were the 1st and 5th placers, respectively, of the October 2018 CPA Licensure Examination.

ICMA commended the management accounting program in the Philippines for dominating the list of achievers. “ICMA congratulates this group of award recipients, who exemplify excellence and a commitment to being true leaders in their organizations,” said Paul Juras, Chair of the ICMA Board of Regents. “We especially commend the strength of the CMA program in the Philippines, members from which dominated the awards for the English exam this period. Clearly, the CMA continues to attract high-performing accounting and finance professionals from all over the world.”
