Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years)

Description 

Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) is a four-year program that provides academic and appropriate training for future elementary school teachers of Grades 1 – 6 through the general education courses, professional education, and specialization courses. The program culminates with an extensive teaching internship in various cooperating schools, both public and private, local and international, under the mentorship of highly experienced professional teachers.

  1. Discuss the rootedness of education in philosophical, sociocultural, historical, psychological, and political contexts to deepen one’s understanding of the dynamics of the teaching-learning process
  2. Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the different subject areas to show mastery of subject matter/discipline
  3. Create innovative curricula, instructional plans, teaching approaches, methodologies, and resources to facilitate appropriate and culturally-relevant learning activities and experiences for diverse learners
  4. Apply skills both in oral and written communication, higher-order thinking, and use of tools and technology to promote quality, relevant, and sustainable educational practices
  5. Demonstrate a variety of thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing, and reporting learning processes and outcomes
