Last November 23, 2018, the Miguel de Benavides Library inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

According to the agreement, the BSP will maintain the BSP Knowledge Resource Collections, a space within the UST Library premises, where BSP print and online materials such as books, annual reports, statistical publications, brochures, pamphlets, posers, and other learning materials will be available. These collections will be avaialble to the member institutions of the network to be established by BSP.

In return, UST will ensure that the necessary resources will be made available for the installation of the BSP collections. Apart from space and infrastructure, a reference librarian will be designated to be the main contact person for BSP, and that it will promote extensively the availability of BSP resources.

In attendance during the signing were Ms. Nelia Balagapo, Head Librarian / Manager of the Economic and Financial Learning Center, and Mr. Archie Galo representing BSP. UST’s Prefect of Libraries, Rev. Fr. Angel A. Aparicio, O.P., signed the MOU on the University’s behalf, witnessed by Library Administrators led by Chief Librarian Ma. Cecilia Lobo, MA.
