Hospitality Management and Tourism Management students of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management bagged awards in the 15th Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Week – Cultural Events Planning Competition, held from October 10-12, 2019 at the Baguio Convention Center, Baguio City.

The students who bagged the gold medal were the teams of Patricia Nicole Ramos, Stephen Calle T. Batacan, Mary Maureen C. Cucio, Al Reile S. Dela Torre, Jonsandae M. Pascua (Cultural Events Planning); and the duo of Floresca May Martin and Gershei Mae Quirao (Travel and Tour Packaging).

Moreover, the HRM students who bagged the silver medal were Andre Del Rosario in the Cocktail Mixing category; Nadine Uy in the Napkin Folding category; Marlou Lagman in the Mocktail Mixing; and Giullano Mendiola in the Amuse Bouche category.

Lastly, the students who clinched the bronze medal were the team of Ian Rumbaoa, Charlie Villa, and Chanel Yongco in the Klasika Cordillera Kulinarya category; Brittany Ong & Janna Bigtas in the Plated Dessert category; Trixia Co, Bianca Ong, and Elise Alindogan in the Table Setting category; Julia Del Rosario in the Floral Bouquet category; Mico Yeung in the Bellman’s Hour category; Richmond Suntay and Joy Clares in the Pantry Chef category; and the duo of Miguel Salazar and Ervyn Gaw in the Flairtending Tandem category.

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) led this convention, which bore the theme: “A Philippine Culinary Revolution: Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangang Kulinara”.
