Last February 22, 2019, the UST – College of Tourism and Hospitality Management conducted its “Gurus of the Day” Program, where they featured Global Academicians as teachers of the day.

The invited lecturers were:

  • Dr. Andy Nazarechuk, the former Senior VP for International Relations of Taylor’s University, Malaysia, who discussed “Smart Employability Skills for the Future”;
  • Mr. Alan Williams, from the Australian School of Management, Western Australia who talked about the topic on: “Work Smarter-Not Harder”;
  • Prof. Perry Hobson, PhD, the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement from Sunway University Malaysia, who shared his insights on the topic: “Get Smart: How Ready are We for Tourism 4.0”; and
  • Prof. Glenn McCartney, PhD, the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau who dealt with the seminar topic on: “Getting Smart with Tourism City Marketing”.

The lectures were simultaneously held at the Albertus Magnus Building, with attendees from students of both Tourism Management and Hospitality Management programs. The program is part of the internationalization efforts of the College.
