The faculty members of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, in line with their continuous pursuit for excellence and development, underwent a certification from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on July 11, 2019.
A total of 11 faculty members, namely, Mr. Avi Ben Andalecio, Asst. Prof. Maria Concepcion Ang, Ms. Karla Patricia Colmenar, Asst. Prof. Jinky Gino-gino, PhD, Dean Atty. Gezzez Giezi Granado, DCL, Mr. Dennis Lemsic, Mr. Jame Monren Mercado, Asst. Prof. James Mark Nidea, Asst. Prof. Joreen Rocamora, Assoc. Prof. Amy Mia Turaray, MEd, and Mr. Cesar Godofredo Vizconde, attained the National Qualification of Travel Services (NC II) course offered by TESDA at the Mariana Academy of Maritime Studies Inc., in Kalaw, Manila.
The Travel Services NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to manage the travelers request for pre to post trips. Other than Basic and Common Competencies, the following Core Competencies must be achieved: a) create travel-related reservations and transactions; b) provide assistance in travel documentation preparation; and c) issue International Air Transport Association (IATA)-Billing Settlement Plan (BSP) documents and other passage documents.
