The Diocese of Baguio, in cooperation with University of Santo Tomas Graduate School – Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics (CCCPET), concluded the first-ever church-initiated diocesan cultural heritage mapping project, which began in January 2019. Over 121 church heritage mappers from three (3) vicariates, composed of 32 parishes, under the Diocese of Baguio, attended the graduation and turn-over ceremony held on June 12, 2019, in the Diocese of Baguio Pastoral Center, Baguio City.
Baguio Bishop Most Rev. Victor B. Bendico, D.D. and Fr. Dexter Martin received the cultural mapping outputs of each parish. The outputs of the church cultural mapping will be the source of information for the book project entitled “Montañosa: Crossing the Fields.”
