Research Center for Culture, Arts, and Humanities (RCCAH) director Prof. Joyce L. Arriola, PhD was recognized in the Annual Scientific Conference and 86th General Membership Assembly, with the theme “Humanizing the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, last March 11, 2019, at Philippine International Convention Center.

Arriola was awarded the 2018 NRCP Achievement Award in Humanities division for being an “esteemed academic leader in promoting Philippine literary education, indigenous culture, and Filipino discourse”.

She is a member of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Technical Committee for Literature.

Moreover, her book entitled, “Postmodern Filming of Literature: Sources, Contexts and Adaptations” was awarded the 2007 National Book Award for Film/Film Criticism.
